Description
This product makes the TPI bikes into the way they should have been made.
This V2 Model has DPI = direct oil injection. The port that the oil from the oil pump enters the engine, is now located right between the injectors, instead of way back in the throttle body. This block has reed screw stops, just like the stock reed cage. The reed securing screws can no longer back out. It comes with new injector plugs, that can’t come out. They are held in place with the stock fuel rails. Finally, the new block has injectors in different locations and a hand ground “rougher” intake surface. Both promote better fuel atomization. This means no fuel load up and constant, snappy response.
This product is just the block and injector plugs you see in the second pic. It doesn’t include the reed block or injectors.
This does come with a throttle plate adjusting screw. This way you can replace your stock (loctited in place ) set screw, and finally control the idle speed correctly. A big improvement over stock idle.
You can see the dyno proven top end power increase, and there is an increase everywhere. Also there is a mileage increase of around 5 miles to a tank of gas
By moving the injectors before the reed cage, the fuel can now mix with the oil and air, BEFORE it enters the engine. Just like all carbureted bikes before. Now the crank can get lubed, and the top end, before the bike starts. Not only does it keep the cylinder and crank from running without lubrication at every start up, power from idle to wide open goes up as well. Works with stock or aftermarket ( GET ) ecus.
INJECTOR SPLIT KIT ** NOW INCLUDED WITH v2**
The injector split kit is just the 2nd picture you see. It’s a plug, short fuel hose and extra clamps. It allows you to plug one side of the injector relocation block off so you can run one injector on the left side of the cylinder and the other injector in the right side of the relo block.
Splitting helps to smooth out the added bottom end hit that both injectors in the relo block give the bike.
Splitting also makes the bottom end running cleaner and gets rid of the bike possible dying or running rich, du to the puddling of fuel with a lot of stopping and starting.
if you are riding mostly single track and are normally below 1/4 throttle, then this set up is your must have. Tested by extreme enduro riders for 2 months, before release, they agree it’s the only way to go.
The dyno chart is the split kit with power valve set flush with engine case (2.5 turns out from stock). It’s running the stock oil njection, 1 oz of oil in the 2 gallons of gas in the gas tank and a STOCK ecu
TBI OIL PUMP DELETE
This kit gives you all you need to delete the stock oil pump from your TPI bike. You get the right plug, or “dongle” to keep the engine code from coming on and shutting it down. You get a cap for the throttle body oil fitting and a cap for the bottom of the oil tank. This allows for the whole oil pump to go. You can now run a pre mix of 60:1, or 2 oz of oil in each gallon of gas in the tank, without affecting the air/fuel ratio. Proof is the air/fuel read out at the bottom of the dyno chart. One run is oil injection and the other pre mix. All is identical. This also allows you to run a full size reed cage or any aftermarket cage, since the block won’t hit the oil pump now
Performance Fuel Filter
This Fuel Filter acts as half of you quick Disconnect and also has a Filter area about 7 times Larger than the stock Filter. It has a 20 micron stainless steel Filter in it. It has double sealing O rings to guard against leaks. It is not designed to come apart (honestly for insurance price reasons ) but it doesn’t matter. If this thing ever get enough stuff in it to cause running problems, you have much bigger problems than this Filter.
Performance High Flow Tank Fitting
Running wide open for more than 3 seconds showed that the stock bike would start to lean out. The problem was the stock 90-Degree Tank Fitting, just like on the 4-Strokes. So we made this high flow one for the TPI bikes and now, no more leaning out when wide open. Changes in a few minutes.
Performance Reeds
These reeds are .018″ thick and are the best overall for the TPI to TBI conversion. These reeds are a fiberglass /kevlar mix and are more reliable than stock. Most of the time, they seal to the reed cage better than stock and run better than stock. If you are using these with the TPI injectors still in the cylinder, then the main power gain is mid to top end. There is a small gain in crispness down low, due to better sealing.
